Your prescription for the mammogram will be provided during your yearly GYN visit, so be sure to make that appointment a priority. If you are a Medicare patient, it's important to note that you are entitled to a gynecologic exam every two years. In the year that you are not eligible for your yearly gynecologic exam, it's essential to contact the office and request a prescription for your mammogram.
